Prof Michael Grosso – Miracles in an Age of Disbelief: Theory and Practice

Transcending mind and spirit to open the gates of transformation

Grosso says: “This webinar is for people in search of a science-based mythology of transcendence.

Our starting-point is a recurrent intuition of mystics and philosophers: an intuition of a transcendent mind that is present to the human adventure.

We will explore two big ideas. First, the empirical basis of belief in such a transcendent mind: the extraordinary facts that speak to our possible physical, biological, and psychological evolution. The second idea is more practical and experimental: we will talk about ways of dialogue with the greater mind and spirit.

Our working hypothesis is that each of us has to forge our own myth of transcendence, and discover a way of living in tune with the powers latent within us. We will review some classic examples and types of transcendent dialogue.

Based on available data, we will also discuss four variables associated with the occurrence of miraculous phenomena, and ask how we can integrate faith, introversion, spontaneity and goal-oriented thinking into our lifestyle. As we are dislodged from customary reality during the global pandemic and climate crisis, our hope is that the gates of transformation will more readily be open to us.”
