Clare Goldsberry Living and Dying Fearlessly

Clare Goldsberry – Living and Dying Fearlessly

How do we find a path to living well and dying well?

“Dying is easy.” That was one of the final words my partner Brent said to me before dying at home from terminal esophageal cancer. Throughout his journey, which also became my spiritual journey, I kept a diary detailing our experiences of life with a terminal illness and death. The result of this is the book The Illusion of Life and Death: Mind, Consciousness, and Eternal Being.

Brent was fearless as he’d been during his life. He also had a great sense of humor about dying that taught many of his friends and co-workers the truths of living courageously and dying fearlessly that gave them a new outlook.

While studying any religion or spiritual tradition is a good thing, it must become part of one’s life in a deep sense if one is to benefit. I found that to be true as I was called to live my Buddhist philosophy alongside my quantum Mind’s knowledge.

About the speaker:

Goldsberry

Clare Goldsberry is a life-long student of religion, religious history, religious sociology and a whole range of spiritual traditions from Eastern philosophies, to Gnosticism, Kabbalah (Jewish mysticism) and Christian mysticism, to the development of religion in early American history.

She began studying for her M.Div through a joint program of Arizona State University and Claremont School of Theology, after obtaining a BA in Journalism with a double minor in Marketing Management and Public Relations at ASU. However, she was led to Buddhism in 1994, left the M.Div path and subsequently discovered quantum mechanics and the parallels between that science and Buddhism.

Embracing Buddhist philosophy gave her a path that has been amazing and full of learning about life and death, and why embracing death is the key to living a fearless life. The cancer diagnosis of her significant other, Brent, and his death 18 months later, gave her the inspiration to help others understand living and dying as a fearless journey leading to peace, resulting in her latest book The Illusion of Life and Death: Mind, Consciousness, and Eternal Being.

Clare is a freelance writer of more than 40 years for a variety of newspapers, business and industry trade publications, and several spiritual magazines including Quest, a publication of the Theosophical Society in America, and others. She also teaches classes for older adults at a community college including her three-part series “Quantum Buddhism” as well as introductory classes in several Ageless Wisdom traditions. Her earlier book, The Teacher Within: Finding and Living Your Personal Truth remains available on Amazon as print-on-demand.

Her 2003 award-winning self-published book, A Stranger in Zion: A Christian’s Journey Through the Heart of Utah Mormonism (her conversion and ultimately her excommunication from the Mormon Church) can be read free on her website at claregoldsberry.com.
