Our youth-focused society has long avoided the subject of death and dying, but the current global pandemic has placed the reality of our mortality into central focus. As we cope with overwhelming loss and grief we need a new framework to help us navigate these challenges and transcend them to find beauty in the midst of devastation. Ultimately these “dark times” of life can be the doorway to spiritual growth.  Karen’s teaching is inspired by her hospice work and also by her own personal journey of grief following the suicide death of her father. She utilizes storytelling, spiritual wisdom and practical tools to show the way to deeper love, forgiveness, and meaning in life by embracing death and impermanence.
