Jennifer Mascaro, PhD is Associate Professor in the Division of Preventive Medicine of the Department of Family and Preventive Medicine at Emory University School of Medicine, Lead Scientist in Spiritual Health, and a member of the Cancer Prevention and Control research program at Winship Cancer Institute. Dr. Mascaro's research program examines interventions that enhance social connectivity, and in so doing, impact health. Much of this research uses multi-method assessment to examine the effects of mindfulness and compassion meditation practices on well-being and health among hospitalized patients and the providers who care for them, as well as to identify and evaluate novel points of entry for integrative approaches to well-being in hospital medicine.
