I am a scholar of the esoteric!  PhD  (2012) in Comparative Canadian Literature (Fr and Eng) with a multi-disciplinary focus on historical and contextual women’s autobiographical writing, my dissertation was on the mystical/practical life through her two piritual autobiographies and  (1633 and 1654)  of Marie Guyart de l’Incarnation, Ursuline Head of Mission,  an extraordinary woman and founding mother of this country, sainted by Pope Francis in 2014.   Prior to that I was Vice-President of Marketing and Communications for the Prudential Insurance Company of America, Canadian Operations, one of the first women senior executives in the company (and the only one married with children!); subsequently, Vice-President of  The Canadian Medical Association; previously, senior  executive of the National Council, Girl Guides of Canada, and various other board memberships.

I am fascinated by the fabulously anomalous and the pursuit of awareness in big C consciousness; am a graduate of Jeffrey A. Martin’s 45 days course, currently situated on Level 3 of his research continuum.  I have a daily meditation practice of an hour under the Buddhist Thich Nhat Hanh’s tutelage, though I am deeply respectful of my Anglican roots, just not a great fan of dogma …
