I’m not sure that simply saying that something is information takes us very far. Because information has to be encoded and decoded as well as transmitted, and that decoded information is only information (rather than data) within a specific frame of reference. So we still need to know how these other parts work. Also, There is a lack of clarity about the distinction between quantum information and classical information (which embodies meaning)
