Anne Baring – Divine Wisdom and the Holy Spirit: The Forgotten Feminine Face of God. 11 June 2025

We were indeed fortunate today in hearing Dr Anne Baring – a true “spiritual warrior” and an immensely wise and learned elder – talk about her latest magnum opus “Divine Wisdom and the Holy Spirit: the Forgotten Feminine Face of God.”

Anne asks why the feminine face of the Goddess has been purposely erased over the ages and where the healing and unitive representation of God the Mother is to be found. Anne’s depth of erudition and intensive research is put to good use at this critical time in our history to make a heartfelt plea to recover the presence of the divine feminine archetype and by so doing put an end to the prevailing addiction to power and war. Evil is abroad inflicting pain, terror and humiliation on our fellow humans and we have forgotten that what hurts others also hurts us. There is no other!

The loss of the feminine dimension has also caused the separation of spirit from nature whereby the dominant patriarchy has sought control over the living planet, objectifying it instead of having a reverence for the sacredness of all life. Our salvation must be the sacred marriage between the feminine and masculine aspects of our nature and of the source of creation.

Anne started the discussion today with dispelling misleading myths that have perverted the course of history, namely the myth of the Fall of Man in Genesis, the myth of Jesus as the only Son of God, and more recently the myth of scientific materialism or scientism. She attributes the widespread dis-ease of our age to the loss of the sense of our own divine origin, the forgetting of any purpose or profound meaning in our life, and of our fear of death, this being seen as the end of human existence instead of an awakening to our immortal soul.

This was such a rich discussion that any report can only give a small flavour of the whole. If you missed it, I invite you to relax, sit back and give it your full attention. The time is now for these truths to be revealed and for our species to awaken.
