John Audette – “Your Valentine”: Reflections on Love and its Seven Siblings. 14 February 2024
John Audette reflects on his inspirational meeting with Raymond Moody, fifty years ago, and their founding of the International Association for Near-Death Studies (IANDS). He is now CEO of Eternea: The Convergence of Science and Spirituality for Personal and Global Transformation, https://eternea.org
In alignment with cosmic choreography, his talk is on 14 February 2024, the first anniversary of publication of his book, Loved by the Light. On Valentine’s Day, we celebrate love and ask how we can collectively bring more love into the world.
St Valentinus was beheaded on 14 February 269 AD, on the orders of the Roman Emperor, for not renouncing Christianity. In prison he taught the daughter of his jailer, or healed the sight of his jailer’s blind adopted daughter, and wrote her a letter expressing love and gratitude for enabling him to be a healing vessel. The love of Valentinus was courageous, spiritual and unconditional agape, not the erotic love we usually associate with Valentine’s Day, and the stories of divine interventions in John’s book illustrate agape.
The seven siblings of unconditional love are compassion, kindness, goodness, empathy, generosity, humility, and beauty—concrete manifestations of love interacting with each other and the divine. Each of us can become God’s love for a day, have the courage of our convictions, transcend evil, and work for the future of humanity.
John anticipates fusing torsion physics with spiritual love to transform humanity.
David’s poems, and Louise’s meditation on the heart complete an uplifting evening.
