Lisa Miller – The Awakened Brain and the New Science of Spirituality. 17 May 2023

Lisa calls us to reflect on the true Nature of our Being a Spiritual Human Being as Teilhard de Chardin said in 1950. She illustrates the intersections of Spirituality and Religion, as interacting in our human development.

She cites alarming statistics about our young people and adults in addiction, depression, and suicide mirroring the loss of life purpose and spirituality that collectively harm us.

Through the lenses of neuro-physical imagery, she provides us with images of the brain losing holistic functioning when addiction, depression and suicide adversely affect our precious brain cellular systems, stunting both Consciousness and Creativity. "The creative process must be explored as representing the highest degree of emotional health, as the expression of the normal people in the act of actualizing themselves." Rollo May.

In contrast, Lisa shows systemic brain change when Spirituality reestablishes an individual’s self-discovery, purpose, solace, refuge, and hope. Lisa also gives us sample 90 second meditations that shift consciousness to rediscover and revitalize sense of True Self and Source.

Neuroscience now confirms: “The greatest discovery of my generation is that human beings can alter their lives by altering their attitudes of mind…. These, then, are my last words to you: Be not afraid of life. Believe that life is worth living, and your belief will help create the fact.” William James

“I am not what happened to me, I am what I choose to become.” Carl Gustav Jung
