Dr. Michael Sapiro’s presentation: Truth Medicine: Transformation Through Psychedelic Psychotherapy comprehensively addresses the heart-compassion connection between the therapist and client(s) joining in a personal journey. This experiential journey leads with compassion in both therapist and client, each coming to an understanding of the physiological, psychological, social and spiritual beings that we truly are. Continuing as a Buddhist Monk, he utilizes every tool available for healing and maturing in which psychedelics free the entrapments that imprison the mind. Too often growth is stunted during therapy which current psychotherapies admit are often a prolonged process in which the client struggles and suffers and the therapist can be perplexed in their intent to help their client heal deep wounds and trauma.

Elmer Green said: “All of brain is in the Mind but not all of Mind is in the brain.” Psychedelics open the brain to venture again with the Mind leading new exploratory subtle multi-dimensional understandings of what it means to be human through a supportive heart-filled compassionate shared union between therapist and client(s). With the Mind’s new lens, free of entrapping brain non-reality perceptions, Truth can replace trauma more quickly and lesson the struggle and suffering of the client (s). This can be applied to the wide spectrum of mental health issues with some exceptions that Dr. Sapiro addresses.
