Patrick Celka – The Digital Heart Pulse Wave. 26 April 2023

Patrick Celka brings our attention to “The Heart of the Matter of our Hearts.” His entire presentation reflected the heuristic quality that the best of science has the same heuristic and ineffable characteristics as the Mystics. He began by reviewing that biometrics and biofeedback have given us new windows in understanding the mind-body interactions and then through his heart research, grounded in meditation experience, he entered the realm of subtle energy effects that he recognized in sharing his research into the heart wave pulses. Not only does he show that numerous harmonic wave characteristics mirror connections with our vital organs, including the brain, but most importantly he has investigated the profound effects upon our hearts within the wide spectrum of consciousness and spirituality that also occurs within us.

Teilhard de Chardin, as a scientist and theologian, integrated philosophy, biology, science and spirituality and is said to have remarked: “We are not human beings having a spiritual experience. We are spiritual beings having a human experience.” What better way to understand this than to look at the Heart of the Matter in our Body’s heart participating in the Same. This, for me, is the Joy that science can bring to our understanding of the interrelationships we have to Oneness. As Thomas Merton said: “The Radical Truth of Reality Is That We Are All One.” That unity and Oneness appears also in the Heart and in our bodies.
