You are invited to the The Scientific Medical Network's Annual Gathering
The 2022 SMN AGM will take place online on Sunday 10th July. This will be a special opportunity to welcome some of the many members who have joined in the past year.
We will start the Zoom call at 9.40 am for people to informally welcome each other. At 10 am, we will hold our official Annual Meeting with reports, updates, and plans for the year ahead, from our officers. We then have elections for our Board, and finally a chance for you to ask questions and contribute to our Members’ Forum from about Midday. This coming year is especially significant as we will be celebrating our Golden Jubilee in 2023!
Following a break after lunch you will have the opportunity to return at 3 pm to watch and discuss a new SAND film called The Art of Lifedescribed as “a documentary about the art of living outside of conventions, in deep integrity with one’s essence.”
You may watch the full film now (for free) by clicking here.
We recommend watching the film in your own time, and it is one you will want to come back to - also for the stunning Hawaiian scenery! The synopsis follows:
“As a rising star in the field of abstract mathematics, Michael discovered that he could see beauty and pattern where others could not. But his path was not to be inside academia, or even inside society. He went on a grand adventure to unify his Buddhism with his ability to see an expanded view of reality. He created beauty in a place where nobody else would, and made his friends amongst dolphins.”Please note: We are always pleased to hear from members happy to take on a Board or Advisor portfolio, specifically having practical experience in one or more of the following areas: finance, outreach, membership, marketing, and fund raising, or is a member who would be prepared to champion early career professions needs (particularly in the science or medical domains).
