Prof Brian Swimme – Cosmogenesis: An Unveiling of the Expanding Universe
How does Cosmogenesis restructure the human mind?
Prof Brian Swimme says: “Cosmogenesis, the narrative of the universe’s fourteen-billion-year construction, is one of the greatest discoveries in human history which will most likely have a profound impact on humanity. And yet most science books do not explore the effects it has had on our individual minds. In my book, I narrate the same cosmological events that we agree are fact but offer an additional feature. I tell the story of the universe while simultaneously telling the story of the story-teller. In particular, I tell the story of how cosmogenesis deconstructed my mind then reassembled it. My aim has been to capture just a glimpse of how cosmogenesis is transforming our understanding of both the universe and the evolution human consciousness itself.”
