Prof Kyriacos Markides – From the Magus of Strovolos to Mystical Christianity

Prof Kyriacos Markides – From the Magus of Strovolos to Mystical Christianity

Are there among us human beings who demonstrate unusual abilities (PSI)  and extraordinary wisdom related to the perennial questions of human existence?

For over forty years Kyriacos C Markides has been exploring the lives, teachings and world views of extraordinary Christian mystics as well as charismatic monks, hermits, and celebrated living saints of Eastern Christianity. Through the method of participant observation, he uncovered a world of uncommon wisdom and paranormal phenomena that cannot be understood from within the materialistic mindset dominant in mainstream science and academia. In this webinar he will introduce us to his findings and show us that there is a clearly identifiable experiential and mystical tradition within Christianity practised for hundreds of years in ancient monasteries, yet little-known to the West.

We will explore this tradition and examine such teachings as the destiny of the human soul; the way to know ultimate Reality; the illnesses of the heart that prevent us from knowing God; the spiritual laws that govern human existence; and the different stages every human being must go through before attaining God realisation. Based on his work he shares the conviction that a more holistic understanding of reality must integrate the best of science with the best of spirituality and religion for the survival of the human race.
