Sandy says: “I worked for seven years as a volunteer spiritual healer in a National Health Service hospital, alongside a top gastroenterology consultant, offering one 20-minute session to each of his highly sceptical patients. The positive outcomes led to the largest medical research trial of spiritual healing in the world, conducted by a top UK university and paid for by the National Lottery. Two research papers have been published in medical journals. Though the research trial was regarding gastro problems, healing is holistic and therefore relevant to all issues including mind, body and emotions – issues that are relevant to every one of us.”

Despite no sign of a natural healing ability, Sandy Edwards trained to be a spiritual healer with a non-religious UK charity that trains to professional standards (www.thehealingtrust.org.uk). She says: “if I can learn to give healing, anyone can”. She has been a volunteer healer for over 25 years, seven years working alongside a top consultant at a city hospital in Birmingham. Now living in Dorset, she is the author of Spiritual Healing in Hospitals and Clinics; Scientific Evidence that Energy Medicine Promotes Speedy Recovery and Positive Outcomes.
